REAL WARRIORS and Spring Reins of Life
February 15th, 2012
The Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) launched a public awareness initiative on May 21, 2009 to encourage help-seeking behavior among service members and veterans coping with invisible wounds.
View the Real Warriors Campaign website at http://www.realwarriors.net/, and learn more about the campaign themed, “Real Warriors. Real Battles. Real Strength.” At the heart of the campaign are real service members and veterans who have overcome challenges associated with psychological health concerns and are continuing to lead successful military and civilian careers. The campaign website (http://www.realwarriors.net/multimedia/profiles.php) includes 15 video profiles and 19 PSAs featuring these Real Warriors, as well as articles, free campaign materials and resources for members of the military community.
The DCoE Outreach Center allows anyone to confidentially speak with trained health resource consultants 24/7 by calling 866-966-1020, by using live chat (http://realwarriors.net/livechat) or by emailing resources@dcoeoutreach.org. Through the Outreach Center, health resource consultants can direct users to resources in their local community and answer questions about invisible wounds.
The Real Warriors Campaign is proud to include Spring Reins of Life as a community partner in our efforts. For the program’s profile or to view other campaign affiliates, visit www.realwarriors.net/partner.
